Resource / Packaging
Finish it properly.
The drive is the product; the box is the first impression. A practical guide to choosing packaging that fits the brief and the budget.
Poly bag
Included as standard. Light, protective, low cost — best for high-volume handouts.
Printed sleeve
A branded card sleeve that upgrades the unboxing without a rigid box.
Gift box
Rigid printed box with a foam insert. The default for client gifts and retail.
Tin box
Metal presentation tin. Premium, reusable and good for collector sets.
Magnetic case
Book-style magnetic closure with a printed wrap. A quiet, premium feel.
Custom insert
Die-cut foam or card holding the drive, cable and lanyard together.
What to decide first
Start with the handover: is it a giveaway, a client gift, a retail product or a VIP kit? That decides the box more than the budget does.
Then confirm the print: a one-colour logo on a kraft box is a different job from a full-colour wrap with Pantone matching. Both are possible; the proof will show the difference.
